  Bras help prevent the girls from getting shut in a drawer when leaning over the counter

  i don't really know what to say i'm a bit nervous.

  but i am new here and i want to say thank you all for these forums and the many contributions people have made.. for about 9 months i been frequenting here and other places on the net while i have undergone an in depth bible analysis.

  after finding that my bible is not consistant with the more favorable options of translating greek words especially in key doctinal areas, i have concluded the great unlikelyhood of jehovah's witnesses having god's blessing and approval.. not just that though.

  who were your past circuit overseers?

  i'm sure a lot of us actually know mutual people, as the co's relocate all over the country.. here's a few from the southeast us: (let me know if you recognize any names and post yours too please...).

  We remember Chuck Volarz- He was one of Hubby's pioneer school instructors.

  Gene Fields- mid 90's real jerk. had a 'boy's club set up in our circuit and would only use those brothers for parts on conventions/assemblies.

  Donald Culp, sounds familiar. Ours did look like Steve Martin and wore really bright colored ties.

  Voake was another one. Nice guy until you dared to go after an elder for lying to you. I don't remember his first name tho.

  We had a DO by the name of David Brooks, can't forget him he was like 7 ft tall.

  Paul Smith- mid 80's??? real jerk. Wouldn't allow breaks. If he didn't like what the sisters were serving him, said so loudly and refused to eat it.

  After 49 years, those are the only ones that stand out.

  Copies from the CD rom won't help? If not, sorry I can't help. Wish I could. I do have the old Organization book 1972 if there is anything in particular you are looking for.

  ADCMS is correct. I'm reading the Gospel of Thomas right now and the forward clearly says that book or Gospel was the first written and is older than the traditional Gospels. So why reject and Gospel of Thomas that they claim the other 4 gospels were apparently taken from? I did notice that the scriptures with the wheat & weeds 'parable' is not really written like a parable in Thomas. Thom 1:21 "Mary said to Jesus: Who are your disciples like? He said: They are like little children who are living in a field that is not theirs..... [Yeah, I know I did a ...] "Therefore I say, if the owner of the house knows that the thief is coming, he will be alert before he arrives and will not him to dig through into his house to carry away his belongings. You, must be on guard and beware of the world [system]. Prepare yourself with great strength or the bandits will find a way to reach you, for the problems you expect will come. Let there be among you a person of understanding. When the crop ripened, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand to reap. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear!" Gospel of Judas, that the WT just recently totally discredited, states that Jesus knew who his betrayer would be.   New Light: That's what you call irony!

  i read a part of the new light in the april 15 study watchtower and got one conclusion: that's what you call irony!.

  if we, readers of that magazine, said the same as written, before october 2012, it would lead to disfellowship.

  if we were invited by a comite, and we would say the same, we would be disfellowshipped for live and for eternal life!!!!

  been doing a bit of research trying to tie in together a few different strands.. not too sure what happened to christianity and how organised religion took hold again after the apostles died off.. i know jerusalem was sacked 70 ce.

  but lots to fill in from that point onwards to bring us to where we are today.. if a few peeps could help to condense and simplify the info down into a few bite size pieces it would give us a starting point to begin to re-educate ourselves to the truth.

  Not many people realize this, but when the Romans devastated Jerusalem, the Pharisees fled to ROME and set up their religion there and guess what it became?

  Yep the RC church.

  And Babylon the Great has been running rampant ever since. We're watching the documentary "Secret Mysteries of America's Beginnings" You want to talk about enlightening. It's funny that most of the main religions in the world today, except the CC, Protestants etc, were all STARTED HERE IN THE U.S.A. [Mormon's, JW's, Etc]

  Good comments! Maybe the WTBT$ feels like only the ones in Bethel's/HQ around the world are going to be saved at the big 'A'. Their translation fo the bible lets you know how they feel about kids. Every bible I've looked this up in says 'HE/HIM/CHILD'. This is what the NWT says.

  it was yesterday morning and hubby and i were having a huge sleep in.

  it was just after ten, and with me being a bit flu-ey i was quite capable of staying in bed longer.

  hubby was feeling it too, and we were pleasantly drifting in and out to the sounds of birds.. then suddenly, cloomp, cloomp, cloomp up the front stairs, then "rap-rap-rap" on the front screen door, that rapid-fire, strong knock of the practiced door-knocker.

  I solved the FB problem with a few clicks. I 'unfriended' all that were still on there.

  I have seen a CO get involved with a cong. problem that the local elders can't handle by themselves. Don' meet with them because the CO is only there to protect the cong. & elders. You will be done.

  Anyone that was a JW for any length of time, I'm sure has heard these idiotic things said from a cold & heartless cult.

  They moved out of AZ years ago and I know the chances of her being on here with us is slim to 0 but.....
